Become the godparent of a trainee

Hop on the wagon as a company when Antwerp organises one of the world's most prestigious events with the Tall Ships Races in 2010! The central point of the event is international friendship among youngsters from all cultures, religions and backgrounds. By being part of this unique sail training, young trainees have an unforgettable adventure based on cooperation and self-confidence. They discover uncultivated talents, form their character and become part of an international family of friends for life.

For initiator Sail Training International it's essential that as many young people aged 15 to 28 can be part of this. Everything is done to also give less privileged youngsters or young people from deprived backgrounds the opportunity to get a taste of this adventure.

The City and the port of Antwerp fully back this objective, which is why they appeal to the social responsibility of small and large companies. Businesses or a group of colleagues can conclude a godparent agreement that financially enables young people to board a Tall Ship as a trainee.

The trainee godparenthood will undoubtedly be a strong signal of social responsibility for you and your employees. In addition, the feedback you will get from 'your' trainee about the preparations and the adventure abroad will be heartwarming.
